Welcome!

I’m Caitlin (she/they) and I work with individuals living with chronic illness, particularly fibromyalgia.

I understand the frustration, grief and anxiety associated with managing chronic illnesses.

I've lived with chronic pain for as long as I can remember. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was a kid, and struggled with chronic back pain due to a gymnastics injury. In my early 20’s, I was diagnosed with a few other chronic conditions, including celiac disease.

Many of the symptoms from these conditions were further intensified when I developed fibromyalgia in my late 20’s. At my lowest points, even simple tasks like washing my hair became difficult, and I endured months of relentless "burning skin" pain, severe fatigue and brain fog.

At the beginning of my journey with fibromyalgia, I also felt very isolated because friends and family didn't understand my experience—and honestly, I didn’t always understand it myself.

While online support groups provided some assistance, they often felt impersonal and sometimes heightened my anxiety about my prognosis and future. I longed for connections where I could be my authentic self and feel truly seen and supported.

During all of this, I was living abroad, working to build a business, and feeling incredibly discouraged. However, the severity of my condition became a catalyst for change; I had no choice but to understand my body better and learn how to partner with it.

I realized that to reclaim my life, I needed to accept my current situation while also nurturing optimism for a brighter future.

Driven to find a path forward, I embraced lifestyle adjustments, delved into self-education, experimented with complementary approaches and embarked on A LOT of trial and error. I also sought joy and purpose beyond my illness, reminding myself of the many facets of my identity.

Throughout this journey I learned a great deal about myself and how to navigate life with a fluctuating disability. Working with a coach and other practitioners was key to improving my symptoms and pursuing my goals in a way that didn’t harm my body or my spirit. These experiences really highlighted the importance of having a good support network when you live with chronic illness.

Coaching has been a remarkable force for change in my life.

Now, driven by that same passion and determination, I'm dedicated to offering support and encouragement to others as they navigate their own journeys.

While I don't claim to have all the answers, and still have my own challenging days, I believe in the resilience within each of us to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward. And I'm here to help you tap into your resilience too.
